The GN-0000GNHW/7SG 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G, also known as 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G or 00 Seven Sword G, stands as a variant derived from the GN-0000/7S 00 Gundam Seven Sword, with Setsuna F. Seiei at its helm. Its debut unfolds in Mobile Suit Gundam 00V: Battlefield Record. The genesis of this variant traces back to the severe damage inflicted upon 00 Gundam in its battles, notably against CB-0000G/C Reborns Gundam. Both GN Drives of 00 Gundam suffered destruction during the intense clashes between Gundam Exia Repair II and 0 Gundam Type A.C.D.
Faced with the inoperability of the Twin Drive System, Celestial Being engineers initiated a restoration project for 00 Gundam, delving into innovative technologies. Drawing inspiration from the GN-0000/7S 00 Gundam Seven Sword, they crafted the 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G. While externally resembling its predecessor, this variant undergoes notable modifications. The destroyed drive is replaced with a substantial GN Condenser, and the GN Sword II Blaster is introduced for field testing. This new weapon transforms the unit from a close combat suit to a high-performance general-purpose mobile suit.
During the 0 Raiser's maintenance period, engineers enhanced the GN Buster Sword to carry Twin Drive stabilization equipment, exploring its potential in alternative power plant setups. Despite the absence of the Twin Drive System, the presence of the GN Buster Sword II ensures the suit's continued capability to deploy the GN Field.
However, comprehensive tests uncovered weaknesses in the system. Trans-Am, previously reliant on the Twin Drive System, became unattainable with a GN Drive-Large Condenser combo setup, and only sustained for a brief 0.03 seconds on a dual Large Condenser setup. To address these challenges, Celestial Being engineer Sherilyn Hyde diligently worked on enhancing the GN Condensers, resulting in a five percent performance boost as witnessed in the GN-0000GNHW/7SGD2 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G Inspection simulation.
